Guiding Principles, Key Tasks, Core Values

Many companies like to publish their guiding principles, key tasks, or core values. They usually do so right up their with their mission statement. In well functioning, competent companies we usually find a clear concise mission statement, along with a short list of core values that enunciate how the company expects to do business, and what is important to the leaders of the company. Run properly, this is inculcated through the company, down to employees at every level and becomes a part of the company culture.

Sick Chicken companies have core values, just like any other company. These also permeate down through the company and drive the company culture. But since Sick Chicken companies don't usually get around to writing out, and publishing their core values, we've decided to help them with the effort.

    Sick Chicken Company Core Values

  • Delay all decisions until you have no options, especially none that are commercially viable.

  • Put people into positions which not only allow them to take advantage of the company, but also encourages, and even in fact demands, that they do so.

  • Take every action possible to add issues for the customers, and when those issues are close to resolution, pull the resources, or otherwise exacerbate the issue.

  • Sell only those products which are difficult, if not impossible to deliver, and promise delivery in less time than it takes to even test the product.

  • Never invest in anything that could potentially increase revenues or profits. Be especially certain to not bring on addition revenue/product producing personnel, even if there is revenue which cannot be recognized due to lack of production.

  • When it's obvious that the procedure or process doesn't work, continue to follow it because that's the way we've always done it.

  • Never discuss your plans or strategies with anyone who works for you, because they might actually find a way to make them succeed.
